General Summary:

The superintendent is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the construction activities on job sites on which our services are being performed. They are the face of the company and interact daily with the company’s customers. The superintendent shall lead the planning activities for onsite construction activities either directly or through foremen.  The Superintendent may also serve as the point person between the field and the shop in maintaining both the efficient and effective allocation/assignment of all equipment to optimize the company’s equipment inventory. They may be responsible for performing the following duties: 


Basic Responsibilities:


  • Lead site operations and take responsibility for all pre-planning activities
  • Create and implement 3-week look-ahead schedules
  • Review crew budgets before starting specific activities.
  • Identify ways to reduce labor, materials and equipment costs.
  • Ensure operations are conducted safely and foremen and crews are following work plans and budgets
  • Meet all administrative deadlines
  • Serve as the primary field contact on NWC projects and work directly with customer superintendents and project owners
  • Maintain courteous and professional relations with General Public as required on all project sites
