This 200,000-square-foot Lake Washington professional football training facility, the second largest in the National Football League, opened in the summer of 2008.
NWC performed the site grading and earthwork for the Seattle Seahawks training complex that includes three outdoor practice football fields, one indoor field, administration buildings, and parking lots. The scope of work also included landscape grading, which incorporated a large observation berm for visitors to view team practices.
Poor soil conditions required extensive use of cement-treated base in order to stabilize 38,740 cubic yards of soil. NWC’s tasks also included installing all aggregate base for parking lots, all four football fields and administration buildings; on-site water for buildings and irrigation; a pump station and pressurized force main for sanitary sewer; and all on-site storm piping including 60-inch concrete outfall to Lake Washington.
