WSDOT, I-5/SR 432 Talley Way Interchange

Kelso, WA

NWC contracted with WSDOT to reconstruct the SR 432 interchanges at I-5 and Talley Way. WSDOT partnered with the Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Council of Governments, the cities of Kelso and Longview, the Port of Longview, and Cowlitz County to develop this project that provides congestion relief at these interchanges. The reconstructed interchanges, which opened in October 2011, improve the interconnectivity of the interchanges, which are in close proximity to each other. It also reduces the potential for collisions caused by vehicles changing lanes and merging.

This project improved interconnectivity of the SR 432 interchanges at I-5 and Talley Way, reduced congestion issues resulting from their close proximity, and minimized collision risk.
