DESCRIPTION
Northwest Construction was engaged as a subcontractor to oversee all site development and underground site utilities for a new medical facility in Lynnwood. Spanning 4 acres, this comprehensive project encompassed various tasks, including site clearing, installation of site utilities (water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage), excavation, and the installation of an underground storm storage vault.
We managed mass excavation and structural excavation, along with backfill for the hospital building footings. Responsibilities also included establishing connections to the existing city water main and associated appurtenances, as well as constructing retaining walls. The scope of work extended to cover all aspects of site grading and excavation, handling and disposal of materials, installation of utilities and site drainage, and the import and placement of aggregates. Additionally, our team successfully executed the supply and installation of geofoam blocks over the storm vault, contributing to the overall success of this project.
SCOPE OF WORK
Our contracted work required collaborative efforts between the General Contractor and its diverse teams, each assigned to different aspects of the project. Our team took on the responsibility of handling all earthwork excavation and grading for the new hospital, along with the installation of site underground utilities. Notably, these tasks were accomplished while navigating around various natural area buffer zones, showcasing the team’s adaptability and commitment to project success.
