DESCRIPTION 

Our team was contracted for the excavation and early development of a new apartment complex in Tacoma. These new apartments will create housing in the downtown area of Tacoma and support the growth of the city.

SCOPE OF WORK 

Our work included the clearing and grubbing of the site, excavation of the parking garage, foundations, and drainage, and the installation of utilities to service the new apartment complex. Many challenges come with construction in a metropolitan area, including pedestrian and vehicle traffic, closures and work hours, and logistics management. COVID-19 protocols provided unique challenges throughout the project. We worked closely with the other teams and city to maintain the project timeline and budget despite these challenges.
